National Grid’s fixed residential basic service rate for the period November 2023 to July* 2024 is 18.213 cents per kWh, about 30% higher than the current rate of 14.115 cents per kWh. The new rate reflects the currently effective Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factors (BSACFs) and the Smart Grid Customer Cost Adjustment Factors (SGCCAFs). *The fixed rate will change when the Basic Service Administrative Cost Adjustment Factor, which is a component of Basic Service rates, is revised effective on May 1, 2024.
